Do I NEED Anti-Virus Software for my Mac…
A few months ago, I took a phone call from a young lady that works for one of our corporate customers. She had just received a call from one of their clients informing her that the email that she had sent earlier had contained a hidden virus that caused serious damage to their company’s data and was going to cost several thousand dollars to repair. Since she didn’t know what to tell them, she decided to call us to see if this could have happened. After all, she had a Mac and we all know that Macs don’t get viruses. As it turns out, her worst fears were realized and even though this virus did not infect her computer, she was a carrier of that virus and had passed it on to an unsuspecting client. I don’t know about you but I sure don’t ever care to get one of those phone calls…

Bascically the Mac computers will get virus but it will not affect the mac computer since the virus on your computer might be the virus created for the windows platform .technically speaking the MAC is built in with Unix platform the which will have the file extention of “.dmg”
or .ocx but the windows virus will be having the extention on ” .exe” . the windows viruses present in mac computer will not affect the mac files but when you are transfering the files to another computer and if it is windows surely the virus will accact on that computer .so its better to have the antivirus for mac computer atleast to delete the windows viruses

Great! Everyone must apply anti spy ware software for the security. So I put in use a antispyware software which is http://www.search-and-destroy.com.

They may not get viruses, but its the hackers that scare me. YTCracker uses a Mac and so does the majority of The Digital Gangsters… Macs still can get hacked people. I’d like them to tell people that in their fancy Mac VS. PC adds. Linux is the safest because, lets face it, no one wants to hack a Linux.

yeah that’s wright… we need to be very careful.. these people try to pass on the virus for which they would be benefited… just don’t care about those prank phone calls
